The one on the right smokes a lot of cigarettes!
I wouldn't want to sit below sidewalk level. What if someone spit down there, not knowing anyone was sitting there? Or threw their garbage down there? Or their cigarette butts?

Subterranean Balcony, Revisited
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a picture of a couple of people sitting in these chairs, playing on their iPhones. Today, they weren't out, so I was able to get a better view of their subterranean balcony:

I wouldn't want to sit below sidewalk level. What if someone spit down there, not knowing anyone was sitting there? Or threw their garbage down there? Or their cigarette butts?
