Formerly Native Bean

This sign is on the window of a former-restaurant/cafe called Native Bean, on Avenue A:

Closed.

Closed by the order of the Commissioner of Health and Mental Hygiene. I wonder if a business was ever closed because it drove people crazy?

Today, all the glass doors were open:

Contemplating the inevitable.

Inside formerly-Native Bean.

Maybe it wasn't a mental health issue. Maybe it was improper food handling, or refrigeration, or something.
