It Must Be a Record

I know… I can't believe it either: the cool old pickup truck, that's been parked on St. Mark's Place for three weeks now, is still there. This must be some kind of record! Still, I feel like I'm at the point where I might as well be reporting that it's still red!

But… the snow has been cleared away, and it moved!

Cool old pickup truck moved forward.

Something you won't know, because even though I took the picture, I didn't post it, is that the mound of snow that was piled up behind the truck is now gone:

Mound of snow behind truck, Feb. 7.

Mound of snow gone, Feb. 14.

And, as I mentioned, it's been moved — only back and forth, but that's something!

Tire tracks in the snow, indicating movement.

I really thought alternate-side parking regulations would have back in effect by now, and this truck would have moved, but it's not the only vehicle that hasn't moved, as we'll soon see!

  1. i wonder if the owner drove it around and then parked it back almost were it had been? i think we need a 24-7 surveillance team assigned to this one, captain! maybe just put a gps tracking device on it?

    1. That's possible (that it was moved and parked in the same place), but I checked the tire tracks and they only go back and forth – it doesn't look like the truck was moved out.

    2. you are correct - those tire tracks do just go back and forth.

:-) maybe that truck has STOL (short take off landing) or VTOL (vertical take off landing) capabilities? :-)

  2. btw, those 'other guys' are copyright infringing or something: http://evgrieve.com/2015/02/love-in-overnight.html this definitely calls for a level 3 security access zone around that vehicle. :-)

    1. I saw that! I even replied something like "I saw those pictures on another blog recently" but the comment was disallowed — go figure!
