When Tragedy Strikes Squirrels

I don't usually report on tragic events — they're too tragic! This time, however, circumstances compel me to.

I was riding my Citibike down East 6th Street the other evening, when I came up behind an ambulance. It wasn't stopped to pickup a person, though:

Ambulance and squirrel.

I'm pretty sure when they got the call that Rocky was injured (D.O.A., I regret to report), this was not what they expected — and they still had to fill out the paperwork!

Always look both ways before you cross the street… in the East Village Today!

    i wonder if someone will paint a headstone on the street at that spot, like that one with the 's' in tspark?
